The blockchain paradigm itself is about data aggregation. You can store sensitive data (e.g. health data) in a blockchain. This data should be anonymized and/or partially stored in the blockchain, in order to protect the data.

1- Data Aggregation

Two approaches are used by data aggregators to access financial information for individuals.

The first screen scraping approach is now largely obsolete and in return for the Fintech-application, the individual provides his banking usernames and passwords. The second (and preferred) approach is API access with a direct,

technology-enabled feed that shares information between the bank and the data aggregator.

Once an individual gathers financial information from various bank accounts, credit cards and investment accounts, the data aggregators process and format this information to fed applications from Fintech. This encourages someone to share or set a financial target with a friend.

In the fields of financial management, investment, peer to peer payments, lending and foreign exchanges, the data aggregators allow Fintech companies to operate.

2- Blockchain’s Role

Data aggregators have to manage the dynamic regulatory framework for working with sensitive customer financial data in order to preserve the interest of banks and fintech companies. Data aggregators are able to handle data from Blockchain

technology in four core areas: security, privacy, analysis and auditability.

In order to improve its protection, Blockchains store data decentralized and manipulated. Blockchains improve privacy when correctly designed by ensuring that data are saved, exchanged and analysand without exposing the contents.

In this area , two promising blockchain protocols include homomorphic cryption (which enables encrypted data to be analyzed without knowing the contents of

the data) and a safe multi-party calculation (which enables parties to trust and to evaluate one another without disclosing the contents of that data). These blockchain protocols can help data aggregators achieve their goals to analyses

sensitive data, while maintaining its security and privacy. They come from various sources.

However, banks also improve their own compliance with regulations by forcing data aggregators to sign up to agreement on data-sharing as requirements to access customer data, even though regulations do not explicitly apply to data aggregator.

A transaction history that is blockchain, tamper proof and auditable combined with preprogrammed rules that ensure new operations follow existing regulations will make regulatory enforcement for data aggregators much simpler and help banks and fintech companies retain their trust.

3- Industry Maturity & Open Banking

Although data aggregators are a relatively young financial services industry, indicators suggest that the industry matures. Banks that didn't know what to do with data aggregators five years ago today see them as trusted partners. Data aggregators have seen massive growth and have gained a sustained investment interest in the last few years.

The development of the Financial Data Exchange (FDX) in 2018 is another indicator of industrial maturity. The membership of FDX today includes data

aggregators, financial institutions, fintech companies and worldwide consultancies. The aim of the FDX is to facilitate an API that ensures customers have a control over their financial information by means of transparency, security and usability standards.

FDX members include companies which actively explore the potential of blockchain technology to monitor customers ' data. For instance, a Visa team of researchers recently recognized blockchain 's potential to share customer data with Fintech applications. Visa's $5.3 billion Plaid scheme could lead the aggregation and blockchain of data in Visa.

4- Seizing the Chance

Data aggregators, strongly developed as a layer between banks and Fintech applications, are now able to add value to banks through the analysis of their data and allow their own data to be managed by customers. All these goals will be enabled by Blockchain technology while preserving the confidence of regulators.

Your project is a kind of IoT application based Blockchain, so you can keep all data as in iot cloud layer but the mendatory data on the blockchain, aggregation of sensed data has to be done on the fog computing layer of the IoT
