I am confusing about the 'time of formation' of nanoparticles in green synthesis method after addition of plant extract with precursor solution. From the previous reported literature, we can identify the presence of expected nanoparticles by changing the color and by strong absorption peak in UV- Vis spectrum. I want to know that when we get the expected color of nanoparticles and still we continue stirring the solution for more time, then what will be the particular definition about the time of formation of nanoparticles?

The reaction time is the time to achieve the chemical equilibrium of the reaction. If the dependence of the absorption intensity as a function of time goes to the plateau, then equilibrium is reached.
Yes, excellent answer by Dr.Yuri Mirgorod.The rate of NPs formation may be fast at the start of reaction(shorter time) and slow at the end(longer time) .The increasing in absorption intensity is slow down as reaction time is proceeds until it reaches maximum value.If the absorption intensity of NPs as a function of time reaches it's maximum value, this mean the NPs quantity reaches maximum value
