Ti Gr.7 (Ti-0.2Pd) is most corrosion res. grade of Ti alloys. for manufacturing of round bar we want compressing of sponge Ti by Pd, but weight of Pd is modest (about 60 gr in 30 Kg of round bar). What is best way for alloying and blending Ti with Pd for next briquetting and VAR (Vacuum Arc Remelting) step?
You get the best possible distribution of an element from an aqueous solution. You can dissolve your 60 grams of palladium in the form of palladium nitrate (for 60 g of palladium you need 130 g of Pd(NO3)2) in a liter of 3% nitric acid and then pour this solution into your 30 kg of titanium sponge. After the water has dried out, palladium nitrate remains perfectly distributed within the sponge. When heated during the melting process, palladium nitrate turns into metallic palladium and goes into the alloy.

Two ways could be suggested literature.
One is hydride, dried and crushing the particle size and analyze.second is kroll process.
1. The fabrication process for titanium sponge hydride powder can be obtained first. The titanium sponge is hydrided and then ground to 10 mm with crushing mill under high-purity argon atmosphere in the sealed glove box, and then ground to powder with quick-speed crushing mill. The powder should be sieved with mechanism classifier, and then the particle size and impurity (oxygen < 2500μg/g, nitrogen < 50μg/g) is analyzed. The H:Ti ratio can be increased from 1.8 to 2.1, and the powder size below 74μm could be obtained about 98.9%. The annual output of hydide powder product can reach 3 ton.
2. The thermochemical concept with a new cell design system can be established. . This system may consist of a single cell, where both the reduction reaction and the electrolytic reaction for recovery of reducing agent coexist in the same molten calcium-chloride bath. The theoretical electric energy requirement for this cell is about half of that for the magnesium electrolytic cell in the Kroll process.

I think you can consider also ball milling to mix Pd and Ti as powders, then remelting you can control the alloy ad you prefer,
