Chickungunia being a viral infection the immunity enhancer herbs like Withania somnifera=Ashwagandha, Glycyrrhiza glabra= Jethimadh in suitable dosage forms may be given. Along with this Kalmegh=Andrographis paniculata, Guduchi=Tinospora, Ardraka=Ginger, Pippali=Piper longum and Maricha= Piper nigrum are effective during and post Chikungunia symptoms like Arthritis etc.

From my personal experience with Chickungunia, I found the minced leaf of Carica papaya at three tablespoons per day in divided doses to be superior to Acetaminophen at 3000 mg per day
Yes, The Carica papaya leaf juice 10 ml with Honey and Tinospora cardiofolia stem extract 500 mg or powder 5 gm twice in a day has shown effective. Some clinical trails are also conducted.
