For Academia, this is a huge concern because much of it hangs on individual original output - none of which can be now individual nor truly original. These issues will cascade down like dominos, taking the H-Index and its legitimacy with them.

No, because people don’t need to pay attention to ChatGPT output, they can choose to do so, or not.

Regarding judging output, the tools used don’t matter, it’s the decision of a human that does.
