I am currently researching the extraction of essential oils of rose and jasmine flowers. I am confused between the use of maceration and enflurasi. Which of the two methods are appropriate?
I am doing a project to design a process to extract the rose oil. I think that if you use adsorption or membrane separation, it's gonna work and be OK.
While rose flowers are processed for essential oil and rose water through distillation, jasmine flowers yield concretes and absolutes through enfleurage (old technique, not followed now), solvent extraction (popular technique), supercritical fluid extraction techniques.
Aromatic oil can be extracted in the extraction methods known as water, alcohol or oil extraction. It depends on the efficiency of the extracting person and the quality of the raw materials.
