For malaria research experts/Scientists
I am experiencing a full explanation of the following concept:
I have been looking at the biological threat of malaria to the control efforts, where the world is in the move to eliminating and eradicating malaria for good.
Looking at different perspectives, I have finally arrived at there could be a real diagnostic resistance in malaria.
Does it give a sense in such a pre-elimination era?
I need an experts' view here and stretched my neck to read your prompt responses

Sorry, I did not understand your phrase "diagnostic resistance". Do you mean to say there is a problem in the investigation, confirmation and reporting of malaria cases ? Can you point out some literature that explains the concept ?
Should be observational the malaria parasite in the blood smear during Microscopic exam. Thanks

No! Don't mean to say in that point!
My worry goes with the intrinsic adaptation behavior of the parasites to keep themselves away from the classical diagnostic tools. Just the hid-and-seeking play.
-learning to keep themselves in the liver hepatocytes as hypnozoites stages
-being adaptation to submicroscopic and sequestration( un available to the microscope)
-the parasites appearance in the peripheral blood circulation in high concentration while only mosquitoes arrive to sack blood( how and what makes their synchronization?)
-Why P. vivax infects only a very few in number of the Retics only?(
There are resistance works where it is described that Plasmodium vivax presents resistance to chloroquine and Plasmodium falciparum presents resistance to amodiaquine and Methipox
