Many forecasts describing future prospects for the continuation of ongoing technological advances suggest that 7G technology is the projected future of wireless communications, which could revolutionize connectivity even more than current technologies such as 5G. While 5G is just gaining popularity, scientists and engineers are already working on the next generation of networks, and 7G is one of those exciting directions.

7G (the seventh generation of mobile networks) will be the next evolution after 6G, offering unprecedented speeds, reliability and the ability to connect a huge number of devices simultaneously.

The speeds and stability offered by 7G will make Internet use even smoother and more efficient. Downloading movies, playing games, or working with the cloud will become instantaneous, and everyday devices - from refrigerators to lighting systems - will become even smarter, adapting to the user's needs in real time.

Although 7G is still the technology of the future, its development is projected for the 2030s and beyond. Currently, the focus is on 5G deployment and early research on 6G, but 7G could be the next step in the next decades.

7G technology will certainly help accelerate the global digital transformation, offering unprecedented connectivity that will further integrate the world of humans and machines.

7G technology can significantly accelerate the development and deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) by providing unprecedented data transmission speeds, low latency, and the ability to support a huge number of devices simultaneously.

In view of the above, 7G technology will be a key catalyst in the development of artificial intelligence, enabling more advanced, dynamic and ubiquitous AI applications. With its speeds, ultra-low latency and range, AI will be able to operate more efficiently in areas such as industry, medicine, transportation, entertainment and many others. 7G will not only speed up existing processes, but also create new opportunities for innovation and development in a world where AI is playing an increasingly important role.

Each generation of wireless cellular technologies represents a tradeoff between its service aspects to achieve an increased overall satisfaction for a mobile user. Such aspects include, from user perspective, cost of service, the ability of a user to access the service at any given time, the quality of voice and video after the service has been accessed, and the likelihood of service interruption.

That is hard to speculate from now, but 6G standardization efforts and organizations like 3GPP are focusing on enabling spectral agility, efficient beam management, and dynamic spectrum sharing mechanisms to support 6G’s high data rate and low-latency requirements. The integration of artificial intelligence-driven optimization techniques and open radio access network (O-RAN) architectures is expected to play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient utilization of FR3 spectrum while addressing coexistence challenges.
