A lot of research has been done over industrial enzymes xylanase, pectinase, cellulase, ligninase laccase etc world wide. What further research could be added in this field ? I want to write a research proposal. Kindly give any novel idea.
Yes, much research has been done on these enzymes especially in the production, purification and characterization of the enzymes from different sources.
Perhaps, as Biotechnologists, Biochemists, Molecular biologists and Microbiologists, the co-expression of these enzymes acting synergistically in unconventional expression systems Like yeast expression system or plant expression systems could be a rewarding research to look into while focusing on increased activity, yield and productivity.
You can focus on enzymes perform in extrem condition such as low or high temperature .... etc.
You can also explore substrate range of xylanases and gene structure
I am thinking of combinatorial enzymes with xylanase and accesory enzymes for saccharrfication of biomass. Also, we may be interested in some kinds of xylanases that ars appropriate for the type of biomass.
