In the control alginate bead, no such peak at 2360 cm-1 was observed. Then the beads were immersed in a nutrient solution containing Ammonium and Phosphates, after which the FTIR spectra showed a distinct peak at 2360 cm-1. Is this peak inferring to Ammonium-carboxyl bond?
