We just finished our GMM training tool (https://github.com/GMMTeam/GMM ) and we would like to compare it to other existing tools. What tools do you preferer and what kind/size of data have you trained?

For speech recognition Hidden Markov Toolkit from University Cambridge is quite famous and quite often applied is also OpenSmile from Technical University Munich.

bgslibrary is nice tool to BG subtraction, but I'm not sure that there is a simple way how to use it just to GMM trainin/evaluation. Or is it?

HTK is famous but a little outdated (Kaldi is something like successor), but use the HTK to train a GMM is not straightforward and the training is slow. I'm looking for some tool more general to machine learning, that make a GMM for given data
