What factors influence the ESL students' translation products?

I am wondering about the phenomenon that ESL students can produce different quality of translation product while they've been given the same texts of Source Language text to the Target Language text (in this case was English). What do you think about any factors that have influenced the ESL students' translation products instead of any observable factors such as the competence in grammar, linguistics, etc?
