A young tree up to few meters high. Leaves rigid, coriaceous, 9–11 cm long, with a rounded base.
Unfortunately, no raceme or flowers, no fruits.
Prunus huatensis Pilg., Rosaceae? We would greatly appreciate your opinion on this plant.
It does not seem to me like a Prunus serotina. A close-up of the petiole (adaxial face) and of the base of the leaf would be useful and a close-up of the abaxial face of the leaf would be appreciated too. A reddish pubescence along the midvein is often present on the abaxial face of the leaves of Prunus serotina. Please, get a look on:
