Iron, Cobalt, Strontium, lithium are used as sintering aids . The melting point of Strontium oxide is 2,531 °C. However when these elements are used, they are sintered at only 1500°C. How they can cause liquid phase at a temperature very less than its melting temperature. Do these elements remain as oxides or just metals. Because the melting point of Strontium is 770 °C.
