Increasingly universities are stating that the educational experience they provide embeds within students graduate attributes (skills, knowledge and behaviours) unique to their educational experience on completion of their studies; but what evidence is there that employers understand and value any specific graduate attributes when employing graduates?  If they do value graduate attributes, what do they value and why?  is there any difference between how any university articulates graduate attributes and employers articulate the same thing - is common language in use? Do graduate attributes from different universities have any bearing on employer attitudes to selection of graduates?  Leading a research project investigating this issue and would welcome views and pointers to publications investigating the views of employers on graduate attributes from as many different disciplines and countries as possible (especially international employers) given the limited information I have so far been able to actually access in order to triangulate with our team's work.
