The Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) is quite widely applied, including in North America.
Within the US, there are also the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) tests; The Highway Fuel Economy Test (HFET), Federal Test Procedure (FTP) US06, SC03 and cold cycle and some references to the older FTP-75 and FTP-72 cycles.
These cycles are intended to be characteristic of "real driving" and have commonly been applied to emissions testing. However, the overall speed of the vehicle and route distance should be the same for an EV so, the cycles are appropriate for some EV applications too, e.g. vehicle range.
The FTP drive cycles can be found at the EPA website (EPA.gov) and the WLTP can be found a UNECE website (UNECE.org).
The Federal Test Procedure (FTP-75) is the EV drive cycle that is used in North America. It is a standardized test cycle designed to measure the emissions and fuel consumption of motor vehicles. It consists of 23 different test points that simulate different driving conditions, including city and highway driving.
