Which means that a decrease in horizontal force isn't followed by a decrease in horizontal displacement. What could explain such a phenomenom?

i think this is dute to bonding effect during unloading and reloading process.

I think this is because the masonry shear wall doesn't have enough flexibility to rebound quickly after the removal of the horizontal force, thus it shows this kind of behavior, also the retrofitting mechanism plays a major role in this behavior. What type of retrofitting system has been used for this shear wall?
