When I simulate a solar cell in Silvaco, the I-V plot of the solar cell has weird behavior on its knee region. It doesn't have a smooth curve on its bend. What could be the reason for this bending behavior? How to interpret this? I have attached the I-V plot file. Please give your suggestions.

You produced the so called typical S- shaped curve of illuminated solar cell.
Such S-curve is due to the presence of a rectifying metal semicondcutor contact.
Such contacts must be ohmic but it seems that it is a Schottky contact.
In such structure you get a too large voltage drop in the forward direction.
You can supplement your results by plotting the I-V curve in darkness.
And then plot the two curves in one graph.
If you give us the structure of your solar cell one cal the Schottky contact which may cause such characteristics.

Actually, Solar Cell I-V Characteristics Curves are basically a graphical representation of the operation of a solar cell or module summarising the relationship between the current and voltage at the existing conditions of irradiance and temperature. I-V curves provide the information required to configure a solar system so that it can operate as close to its optimal peak power point (MPP) as possible.
Solar Cell I-V Characteristic Curves are graphs of output voltage versus current for different levels of insolation and temperature and can tell you a lot about a PV cell or panel’s ability to convert sunlight into electricity. The most important values for calculating a particular panels power rating are the voltage and current at maximum power.
In your question, the bend in graph is because, the rated terminal voltage of a 12 Volt solar panel is usually around 17.0 Volts, but through the use of a regulator, this voltage is reduced to around 13 to 15 Volts as required for battery charging. Solar panel output is affected by the cell operating temperature.
