Ewald has a good point about increased exchangeable H (and Al) at low pH displacing Cs. That would not necessarily explain increasing residual Cs (which I assume is either total Cs or that held on exchange complex). Have you looked at CEC trends - maybe soils with high TC have higher CEC and thus ability to adsorb Cs (or Cs could be accumulating in decaying OM). The increase in OM might also decrease pH. Worth a look.

Thanks for the further addition Andrew. Indeed the CEC trend shows increasing CEC at high TC. High TC values also corresponded to low pH generally. Thanks for the information. Highly appreciated

Cesium like other cation metals has enhanced solubility under lower pH showing an inverse mathematical relationship as pH increases Cs solubility decreases.

Plant growth is usually maximized at a slightly acidic pH and the presence of Calcium can interact to give stabilized conservation of organic matter through organo clay complex stabilization by cationic bridging mechanism.

The increased pH would result in a positive relationship of Total Carbon, Total Nitrogen and Cationic Exchange Capacity and aggregation.

Organic matter has significant buffering ability, cation and anion exchange capacities. Persistence of soil aggregates are favored by Calcium availability and the presence of clay and soil organic matter.

If there is an increase in CEC because of soil organic C increase, the relationship between OC and pH is usually positive. If not Ewald's assumption looks the cause for the negative association. If you check the method you employed to determine the parameters you prove the assumption.
