During the current pandemic, most educational institutions all over the world were forced to on-line education which led students to be away from practice applications such as labs and workshops. What do you think the percentage of educational lost by students in courses where labs and workshops are necessary?

I think most of these labs will fit in number (2) around 90% of the knowledge and practice will be lost.
There are several labs can be covered through the online classes such as electric or electronic, computer drawing and programing. While, there are labs can not be covered through the online classes; such as; mechanic, manufacturing, and other fields depending on machines that students can not offer in home.
I think these fields if not adopted well during the pandemic, the quality of those fields will be harm and market will face huge problem after few years!!

90% . On line virtual labs are available for only few experiments and certain courses. It is not possible to understand certain labs through virtual mode. Actually, real time hands on experience is missed by the students. This will have big impact on their career definitely.
I think its a huge loss to the students in terms of the hand on practice and try to understand the difficulty for one particular operation specially in the field of manufacturing wherein every process has its own advantages and challenges. However in this scenario the virtual labs are the best solutions for getting an idea about any practical work but the virtual labs can not replace the hands on training. Virtual labs are only giving the idea how the process can be done its like learning that how to ride bicycle verbally but hands on practice is like learning to ride the bicycle while trying to ride it.
There is a big loss to the students due to the recent changes in the delivery of education. We've still a far way to go for effective digital education. I think the loss will be different from student to student and also depends on the institutions they are enrolled in. But on average, there is definitely 80-90% loss.
