Come now. Have you never noticed the shadow the earth casts on the moon? Does the shadow look like it is created by a flat object? Do we not have GPS? How does it work? Have we not seen pictures from satellites, spacecraft, photos taken of the earth from the moon, and from the space station? (Not quite spherical. Look up "geoid.")
It is flat to you (perspective); when you zoom to the possible best, to a circle you will know that is drawn using straight lines continuously which are consistently changing their angles. You cannot assume that your circle is a straight line. This is my modest opinion.
It is like microscopical point of view ( us on earth as ant on circle with high diameter it will deals with several straight line segments), and macroscopic point of view (us look at the previous mentioned circle of ant).
