We saw during survey studies that there are mushrooms on pomegranate stems and branches, but we were unable to give it a meaning. Can someone explain this?
These fungi are on all trees at some orchards and also only limited trees at some orchards. Trees don't look healthy and i can see some symptoms like wilt on them. As i say, i'll send some p,cture next week...
Mushrooms are prone to dry conditions, yes as above said, the tree might be weaken by abiotic and biotic factors and thus mushroom is able to penetrate the stem and grow on pomegranate trees. If tree is not on shade and has high foliage and stem, you can trim stem and foliage and get rid of them. Mushrooms die if there is dry condition and direct sun light.
