I was Analyzing latency (seconds) in behavioral preference  tests using fish, for statistical analysis I used a GzLMM with Poisson regression (log link function) but a reviewer argued that poisson distribution is used in count data and latency could be not handle as count data. what do you think, can I use poisson distribution for latency? what other distribution is correct for this kind of data?.
