Currently working on the elemental composition of dump site soil and a particular vegetable grown on it and found these elements using PIXE. I want to know possible waste(s) that generated these elements or could they be components of the soil?
You can follow some of our work on research gate which involves EDXRF analysis of MSW dump soil and vegetation also. You may find some hints. You have to compare with a natural soil which is close in texture etc to the dump soil. I guess Zr, Y, Sc are soil derived rare earths...and you will see no enrichment above natural soil and should not be added from the solid waste.

Chloride is a common component of garbage. It can be used as a tracer for groundwater contamination due to domestic waste dump. The other rare earth I agree with Mr Gupta probably it is from soil
We analyze the ground watershed Tafna wadi (Algeria) by XRF. We found presence of the following elements: K, Fe, Ti, Ca, Sc, V, Cr, Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ga, As, Rb, Sr, Y, Zr, Nb, Cd, Ba , Pb
