We are working on the best probable product for the air filter to be used as a mask with the best efficiency. The major problem we are facing is nanofibers are not adhering to the unwoven substrate. Most of the time it fibers gets peeled off from the PP nonwoven fabric. What could be the best adhesives could be used in this case or if there are any other approaches we can go for? An elaborative answer will be highly appreciated.
It depends on the nature of the nanofibers but in most cases they consists of polar polymers. Therefore you need a compatibilizer which is able to adhere to the PP and has functional groups which can react with the surface of the nanofibers. PP grafted with maleic anhydride is such a compatibilizer. There are many commerially available types. Furthermore copolymers of ethylene with glycidlymethacrylate and optionally further acrylates are available under the trade name Lotader AX followed by a four-digit number. Such polymers applied as powder can improve the adhesion between PP and nanofiber.

The main agenda is, We are using PAN as a nanofibers to coat on PP nonwoven. Could you please some specific suggestions for PAN nanofibers on PP nonwoven, if possible.
Yes, perhaps a NBR rubber. There are also types which are sold in a powder form, like Krynak X, which is a carboxylated NBR, or Baymod N, which is a powder, which is an advantage for many applications. Another rubber, which is sold as powder, is Therban, a hydrogenated NBR. This could even be better but more expensive. But price is not so relevant for your application.
