In synthesis of self healing coatings by encapsulation method, healing agent must be very flow, so I try to decrease viscosity of alkyd resin using reactive diluent, Please suggest what chemicals are suitable for this aim?

Hello Ms. Ataei, in the literature I found 1,1-Bis(1′-methyl-2′-vinyl-4′,6′-heptadienoxy)ethane as an reactive diluent. The attached patent suggests another set of possible compounds. Did you already know these?

You can use drying oils as reactive diluents. For example linseed oil and tung oil. Before using them you can do their trans esterification by reacting them with methanol or ethanol...
For trans esterification you can also use any other OH functional groups containing compounds. These drying oils have excellent barrier properties and the can be used as self-healing and anticorrosive coatings.
Diallyl maleate or diallyl fumarate are reactive diluents for alkyd resins. Santolink XI 100 from Solutia (not longer produced but rest amounts can be bought from several suppliers) or CN9102 from Sartomer are poly allylglycidyl ethers with a molecular weight of about 1000. They can also be used as reactive diluents. Disadvantage of all allyl functional reactive diluents is the formation off little acrolein during oxidative drying.
