I am hereby informing you that, we have investigated the effects of aloe vera gel based edible coating (different concentrations) with (optimized aloe vera gel concentration -50%) or without incorporation of orange peel essential oils on the postharvest characteristics of button mushrooms.
The postharvest parameter includes:
physiological loss of weight (PLW), color, sensory evaluation, respiration rate, firmness, total phenolic content (TPC), total flavonoid content (TFC), antioxidant activity, and antimicrobial activity
In addition we have also investigated the physiochemical, rheological, particle size and zeta potential distribution of the developed aloe vera gel-based edible coating formulations.
