Global warming will seriously affect the eco-system and negatively impact every aspect of human life from health to food security, and would result in mass migrations.... Indeed, it would bring havoc on earth.

Global warming of 5 degree C would result in disappearance of Himalayan and Alpine glaciers, polar ice caps, as well as thawing of permafrost. That would result in sea level rise, and destruction of habitat on shallow islands and costal areas. Thawing of permafrost would result in release of large quantities of methane, which is >80 times more active than CO2 in creating greenhouse effect. Melting of Tibet-Karakoram-Hinmdukush-Himalayan glaciers would seriously impact the agriculture and lives of some three billion people inhabiting China, North India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, SE Asia and Central Asia. Let us please not talk about the catastrophe of 5 degrees rise. Let us make efforts that the temperature rise remains below 2 degrees.

That would be a nightmare!

There will be chaos as the natural ecosystem will be destroyed and extinction of most plant and animal species including humans is inevitable!
