Last year, I was working hard on my long-term intervention study. I have done all the preparation, went to community every week meet my subjects. Pre-test and middle-term test have been finished, but my intervention still have six-weeks, post-test not done yet.
I'm in china. Unnecessary gathering activities were suspended because of the impact of the new coronary pneumonia. Everyone in China is trying to overcome the epidemic quickly.
Unfortunately, my study have to suspended. and I know many studies have to suspended because of sudden disasters.
I want to know How remedy my experiment.
I have try to searched similar situation study, but failed.

Our hearts with China and with you all, I think you can proceed with your study depending on type of test remaining, if its type of questionnaire you can take advantages from internet use and its application in collecting results, or do some modification to the methods that can cope with your study accordingly, we saw some bakery shops invented long arm out of their shops to serve the bread and so to take money, I believe you will find the solution. It depends on what you need to collect. If it's just survey and can be done over the web, then it's just modifying your collection protocol. However, if your collection requires the subject to be present (because you need a blood sample of whatnot)..might be difficult. The only thing you can do is extrapolate from what you have already gathered and maybe do a later time point, or extend the "treatment" and make the post time point at a later date.
Sometimes you have no choice but to start over. One tropical storm in 2001 wiped out all the vivariums at UT and Baylor. There were people with genetically modified animals, long term experiments (>6 months), etc... and it all got wiped out. They had no choice, they all had to stat over.
