You dont have to be confused at all. My question is do you have any work experience in the related field I mean Software? and if you are not at all experienced u dont have to worry because you may go to any platform in software sector.

The important thing is that you need to be good in any one of the programming languages. It may be C, C++, Java or dotnet because this will be the basic criteria to get into any software sector and in the company you will be will be assigned a particular stream and that can be either your area of interest or different one. At this moment you have to learn the basic concepts of subjects you have studied. For example Operating Systems, Networks, Databases and Computer Architecture.

You can become a Software Engineer/Developer/Programmer if you learn C, C++, Java, Dotnet, PHP, etc or

Network Engineer if you do certification in CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, etc

Database Administrator if you hold certification in Oracle DBA, Sybase etc.

System Engineer or Administrator if you hold certification in Microsoft, Cisco, Linux, etc or

If you have any research idea, you can join as a lecturer in any of the university and you can complete your Phd, or M.phil part time.

So, it all depends on you now which path to choose and where you can mature. Chill out and you can definitely get into a field which you wanted to be. Good Luck!

Its good that you know Java and DBMS and you are interested in Web designing. If you want to get into Web designing field initially you have bare few things say you will be paid a less salary because you have to work in a small company and once you experienced in the field say 1 year then you can earn as you expected.

Or with this knowledge you can join any software development company that you can attend on campus or off campus recruitment program and get placed easily. All you need to do is refresh all the concepts be thorough in those and a little communication skills. Then you will start learning yourself once you get into the company. Its all very simple.

It all depends on your which field you are good at and what is your area of expertise. Select the area which you are interested and discuss with the concerned professor about your project and go through some of previous students projects so that you will get a good idea.
