It is theorized that if circumstances arise that world countries get divided into two distinctive major groups, ' group of industrial countries' and 'group of agricultural countries'. Industrial countries decide to stop the supply of their manufactured goods to agricultural countries and they limit the exchange of goods amongst them only. In response, agricultural countries decide to stop the supply of their agricultural products to industrial countries and limit the trade of their goods only between themselves. What can happen in the world and which group of countries can better survive?
I think, industrialized countries are better equipped than agricultural countries , because of the better resources available at them on per capita basis. However , world economy moves better with complinentarity between industrialuzed countrues and agricultral countries. The issue like climate change could only be resolved through a better exchange than by working in isolation...

I don't think this will happen - agricultural countries have same valuable reosurces/products needed in industrial countries.

But, if this happens, agricultural countries would be able to fulfil their basic needs i.e food, shelter, clothing required for survival. For industrial countries, it would be hard to fulfil basic needs and difficulties may arise for their survival.
Agricultural goods are essential. Industrial goods are optional. The countries will adjust to a new normal and survive.

a disaster for the agricultural countries but if they use intelligence this situation will make them independent and they go to work in the industrialization because they have the advantage they have food and the industrialized countries do not, that's why these countries will never help the agricultural countries to get out of underdevelopment , its aid plans are hypocritical ridicule, in the case of mexico the cimmyt has mechanization programs and manufacture of agricultural equipment whose impact is minimal, if not null, and they publish that they contribute to the country, which is becoming more dependent on industry and nutritionally speaking

If we believe that the global economy is reasonably well integrated now than some 10-15 years back (thanks to globalization policies as promulgated under the WTO regime), the question of conflict between industrialized and agricultural economies need not rise, as economic survival of both is contingent upon both helping each other by transfer of resources and products. It's a reality that growing food insecurity concerns in the world, especially in the industrialized (also developed) economies would make them depend more on the agricultural (undeveloped and emerging) economies in Asia and Africa for their food supplies. Increasing climate change induced challenges may further worsen the scenario as both the groups of countries might experience food shortages. Further, the changing food consumption patterns with increasing intake of meat and meat products (with much of the fodder crops being produced in the agricultural countries) in both these group of countries are yet other important considerations that make the agrarian economies dominant in the emerging context. That said, I would like to take a position that the emerging scenario calls for more inter-dependence and mutual co-operation between the industrialized and agricultural economies, with more income flows happening from the former to the latter, leading to welfare gains for both!!

for your valuable comments on the issue. You have presented a real picture of both the economies, but this is what we can view. In my opinion, food production is more important than industrial production. This can be viewed in the wake of recent crisis as well. World can't afford food crisis.
