Hello,

usually negative imaginary part of impedance is linked to capacitive phenomena. it seems you have also a negative real part which is more suspicious in my opinion. as far i can understand your system, you dont have a proper reference electrode but "only" a metal sheet and it doesn't garantuee a stable potential.

Dear Patrick,

Thanks for your response. I see, yes I had a very small real negative real part and it vanishes when the wiring is straight (no inductance I guess). What else can this real negative part do you think can indicate? About reference, yes, since for batteries, a pure metal is the best reference close to reality that we can take.
