Now, if we expose wood to Microwave first and plasma thereafter, I guess the mechanical, anatomical properties and chemical composition will change. Cellulose and hemicellulose will start to degrade which will lead to a potential change in color, may be? Extreme exposure to MW can significantly decrease the strength so the parameters must be optimised, that is well understood. Now if we modify wood using MW first and then using Plasma, in optimal conditions (so that the negative impacts can be averted to a greater extent) what all possible changes may occur inside the modified wood? How better it would become for durability and performance in service? Won't it be interesting to start with? The two step modification of MW+Plasma?
