Behavioral Finance seeks to account for this behaviour, and covers the rationality or otherwise of people making financial investment decisions. Understanding Behavioral Finance helps us to avoid emotion-driven speculation leading to losses, and thus devise an appropriate wealth management strategy.

One potential topic is to study the effects of assets illiquidity as a parameter in Herding Models. Herding Behavior is one of the contemporary issues in behavioral finance.
Another potential area to focus on is related to Hawkes processes modeling in finance. This is a new emerging area in finance with many potential applications to financial markets and institutions.
In fact, Hawkes processes modeling have emerged in a number of areas of finance such as investment sentiment, market jumps, and order book dynamics, etc. All these recently surfaced potential research areas in finance show that Hawkes processes have significant benefits in approximating and understanding the microstructure of complex financial markets and diverse financial events and phenomena.

Actually the plan to go forward with the topic" CUSTOMER INCLINATION TOWARDS VARIOUS ENERGY SOURCES IN AUTOMOBILE INDUSTRY: A BEHAVIOURAL FINANCE APPROACH "
The study proposed is very simple and relevant in Indian context as far as my experience.A short description on why it is relevant is as follows:
" In Indian automobile manufacturing industry,all the popular car manufacturers know the fact that in the near future the whole sector can be depending upon multiple power sources which will be far reliable and cleaner, precisely-"Electricity".Many had been sharpening their R&D on the same,but despite of this fact,many companies are moving at a slower pace towards this change than the required,which proves that the firms are somewhere falling in short of making a rational decision;which is often expected.Being consumers,the research is paved towards a holistic approach on identifying the behavioural aspects that possibly influence them in purchase as well as allocating their investments.The research is throwing light to various factors of influence in consumers of automobiles in the country which can attract or maybe even evade from EV.Behavioural finance concepts of anchoring bias, endowment effect, Confirmation Bias,hindsight bias and so on are considered to analyse the positive or negative inclination of customers towards various energy sources; specifically electricity."

From my point of view, this is possible, since finances study the relationship between people on the formation and use of funds. Behavioral finance reflects the factors that determine certain actions of people. Thus, behavioral finance takes into account the behavioral characteristics of people in various situations.
Most behavioral finance studies, study the behavior of investors operating in the financial market or the "aggregate" behavior, that is, the behavior of the financial market itself (the behavioural of financial assets). In this case, I do not believe that the texts of "behavioral finance" can help much in your research, which aims to study the automibilistic sector.
However, you may be able to use the concepts of Behavioral Economics, which aims to study consumer behavior - you will find a lot of work in various areas including studies in the auto industry.
In that sense, if I could give you some "light" I would say that if you want to study behavioral economics in the auto industry, you can think about studying the influences of consumers in that industry or the decision making of managers in that industry . Or make a broader study of how individual decisions affect corporate decisions. A quick pussy on google scholar and you will find some work.
