I have synthesized a tripeptide Trp-Trp-Phe using Fmoc-Phe-Wang resin and Boc protected Fmoc-Trp amino acid with the coupling reagents HOBt/HBTU/DIPEA. After all the coupling process the global deprotection cleavage cocktail I have used is TFA/TIPS/H2O in 95:2.5:2.5 ratio. But after lyophilizing the compound is becoming brownish sticky type. What can be the problem arising here? Can anybody please help?

You need to purify your peptide with preparative HPLC. The sticky texture and the color are possibly from your resin and protecting groups. You need to remove the unwanted compounds from your peptide. The purity should be about 95%. I hope it helps. Please read my paper for more information.
