We know that the pulp can die silently through gradual pulpal necrosis which may be asymptomatic or sub-clinical in it;s pain nature, However, I need to clarify here that your describing a lesion as acute reversible pulpitis is a bit confusing. It is either acute pulpitis or irreversible pulpitis. Acute pulpitis is now reserved as a histologic/pathologic diagnosis while reversible pulpitis is a clinical diagnosis. Acute/chronic describes the types of inflammatory cells seen in the histologic picture under a slide.Reversible/irreversible is a clinical description of the nature. duration and other specific criteria related to the pain of pulpitis. While a short-lived pain that disappears soon after removing the stimulus would be reversible, a more sustained and severe pain that persists long after removing the stimulus would be described as irreversible pulpitis. While reversible pulpitis represents a state of possible return to normal pulpal physiology, irreversible pulpitis refers to a state of "no return" very likely to result is complete pulpal damage with the seepage of pulpal remnants into the periapical tissues. At this point, the tooth becomes tender to vertical percussion and the diagnosis changes to acute apical periodontitis.

Thanks for the comment but i am sorry to say that there is nothing confusing in the description which is said to have gone through Acute or chronic irreversible pulpitis.

My basic question was to know the diagnosis of the asymptomatic root stumps in the oral cavity which are lying there since months without any symptoms.

those roots can be called asymptomatic apical periodontitis - at least when there is a PA lesion visible (or on CBCT). if no PA lesion then pulp necrosis can be aslo the diagnos.
