In a recent post I asked this question (https://www.researchgate.net/post/Should_scientific_fraud_be_handled_as_criminal_offense), which was overwhelmingly approved. One of the interesting aspects, which were raised by many peers, was the fact that academic organizations of all kinds (professional, universities, schools to name a few) are actively obstruct appropriate legal actions.
How can such organizations be brought to do all that is necessary to fight at least plain fraud if not also academic misconduct?
We have examples. In the case of predatory open access publishers and publications there is a list (known as Beall's list), which shows a huge number of relevant names. For starters, should we have something like that for obstructive academic organizations?
