In supercapacitor electrode fabrication we need to add carbon black and PTFE with our active material . what alternatives can we use in place of PVDF / PTFE? Does PVP work in the same way?
Yes you can use PVP as binder material is a good electrical conductor, which helps to ensure that the charge can flow freely between the active material particles. PVP is stable in a wide range of solvents and electrolytes, which makes it a good choice for supercapacitors that are used in different environments. But PVP is highly soluble in water, which can make it difficult to use in aqueous electrolytes.
