I’m planning to conduct a traffic count in the coming days for selected route near my university in Budapest. Currently, I'm attempting to identify the rush hour time along the route. Accordingly, I'm trying to use an approach based on real time information other than the traditional method. Underneath, please see the steps I took so far and kindly share your helpful thoughts:-

You need to collect data on your traffic according to hours of the day, then analyse them according to a statistical method such as factorial arrangement. Take the days as a variable and the hours, repeat this several times all the week, then repeat it 3 or 4 times as replicates, then analyse. Regards.

Thank you so much for your answer. However, the suggested method is the traditional approach, which is based on active field traffic surveys. I'm trying to explore other techniques based on real-time traffic, which may use connected devices to compile instantaneous traffic data. For example, I tried the real-time database in this link: https://www.tomtom.com/en_gb/traffic-index/budapest-traffic/, which offers realistic traffic stat till 2021.
Therefore, if there are such alternative approaches, I'm attempting to explore them with proper validation.
