I have made a mixture of the metal oxide sample with water and nafion in 2:1 ratio and then deposited it on the electrode and let it dry in oven for about 2 minutes. But, after a few minutes while performing the photo electrochemical measurement, the deposited mixture fall off from the electrode surface.
the attached reference can be followed to prepare working electrode for electrochemical testing,
Also, the compatibility of working electrode with the used electrolyte matters, if the working electrode is not stable in electrolyte then there could be possibility of deposited mixture fall off from the electrode surface into the electrolyte solution
I know my query is outside the box of the discussion ,but can anyone guide me in buying a carbon counter electrode.I cant seem to find any companies which sell these or most of them sell graphite electrodes.

Dear Mr. Deka,
From my point of view, please don't dry the catalyst-loaded GC so quickly in the oven. Within this short time of period (2-5 minutes), Nafion can not bind the GC surface properly, and it leads to a cracking surface of GC with catalyst. If you dip such kind of GC in the electrolyte, differently the catalyst will fall down. So, better to dry the catalyst deposited GC very slowly. After deposition of the catalyst on GC, keep it for 7-8 h at 25-30 oC, If it is winter season (
