What are the various metrics or Indications that can be relied upon to assess communication between work teams in organizations?

Talking about the quality of communication between team members is usually theoretical. Are there statistical measures for this? be more accurate?

The reality may likely not have been in existence. I think it's quite good, one sets a standard rating scale for such purpose, the way and manner performance appraisal of staff is being weighed/rated by management in organizations.
