I am doing a comparison between the two materials and the surface tension for water with these two surfaces.
I also need to know what are the sources such as textbooks, papers, ..., etc that I can use to find various values of contact angles of water over different surfaces made of different materials.

the reported contact angle of stainless steel is usually 71 degree (also if e.g. 62.1 degree is also found [1]) and of PE is 90 degree [2].

Contact angles depend on the surface of your subtract. It can strongly vary with roughness for example see doi:10.1088/1742-6596/739/1/012029.
So there is no "recommended" values even if those given by Pierluigi are in the good scale.

Frédéric Durut That's right. But, M. M. Awad has asked about a flat (ideal) surface. For ideal surfaces which are described by Young model, why the relevant water contact angles have not reported as constant values!?; That seems possible to recommend.
