I would like to know the composition of the end products when the bio diesel is degraded by microorganisms. Also, is there any microorganism that use FAME as one of the primary carbon source?
The real answer is that all microorganisms that degrade hydrocarbons (FAME included) create more microorganisms (reproduction), so what you really end up with is biomass. I have spent a couple of decades studying a specific Archaea that thrives on hydrocarbons, including FAME. Your typical end products are simple small organic acids and small hydrocarbons, CO2 and of course lots and lots of biomass.
