I am from electronics background and i work in embedded systems. I am interested to work in IoT. What are the skills required to become an expert in IoT ?
I know that we must have a good understanding of
C, C++, java and Python.
what else we need ? and what are major programming languages used in IoT?
IoT is an idea at very abstract level - there is no need to know any particular language - all will be suitable (some less, some more). However major janguages used in IoT are C, and Java.
I would point more towards system design skills. IoT is inherently a scalable system - massively scalable. For that reason it is also important to have a firm grasp over theory of information and be aware of communication protocols.

8. Information Security: Internet of Things is already suffering from several DDOS attacks, botnet. Security can not be an afterthought for IoT devices.

10. Teamwork:Building an IoT system requires a team effort.
