There are many products of AMC made via powder extrusion road. One of them was stator of camshaft phaser (automotive) - not in production anymore. Very interesting are products from aluminium foams where precursors for foaming are produced via extrusion of powders (physical mixture of aluminium powder and titanium hydride as source of hydrogen - foaming agent). Those precursors can be foamed any time any where just heating them to desired temperature at required heating rate. They can be foamed into complex 3D shapes. One of many application is protection of suspension system on railway carloads that can absorb crash energy.
