Nano-technology is still an evolving field with an array of options making the selection procedure a daunting task especially for the building construction field. There might have already been a lot of research done in this regard for the performance of these materials. I am basically interested in materials that can create differences in energy demands, sustainability and maintenance costs.
There are some nanotech materials employed on building construction, but the biggest problem is that they aren't certified and the use is read as unsustainable. That is foundamentally wrong. In energy consumption they can give better performances than other materials still employed.
