I want to do the modelling and simulation for additive manufacturing process. What are the simulation softwares for the Thermo-metallurgical-mechanical conditions in precise additive manufacturing? if possible then please help me in identifying whether they are freeware and purchase based?
There are several software available in the market such as Arena, SimProcess, AutoMode, or SimEvents toolbox of MATLAB.

I am going for PBF (SLM/EBM) for thermometallurgical mechanical condition (i.e parameters will include scan strategy, beam power, material dimensions, layer thickness, powder used etc.). The material system has not been decided yet but it is supposed to be one of Titanium alloy or inconel. Please hep.

The best choice is Ansys using APDL. Inaddition, Abaqus, Comsol Multiphysics and Simufact are other available options.
Netfabb simulation utility can be used for thermo-mechanical simulation of both PBF and DED. It is a paid and licensed software product from Autodesk.
The following any of the software can be used for simulation of AM processes:

3. Comsol
4. SYSWELD
5. Simufact additive

I think COMSOL Multiphysics is suitable because of its ability to solve multiple physics in a model.
