I starting studying human-computer interaction, and its aim to provide effective interaction between human and computer. Because of its ubiquitous nature, I am looking for research topics, present and future, in quantum computing that involves HCI and how we can improve user interaction with quantum computers.

I also recommend the paper Soumya Snigdha Kundu cited. Ashktorab and colleagues already pointed out 4 areas in which HCI researchers can investigate. In short, the intersection of HCI and quantum computing is related to the human needs: human applications and use of quantum computers, education for quantum programmers (and other relevant stakeholders), facilitate quantum development work, and visualization of quantum states. As Ashktorab et al. (2019) says, the "areas in which HCI researchers can have an impact and define a new practice of Quantum HCI" are:
"1) Understanding current and future users of quantum computers, including the problems they are trying to solve, the domains in which they work, and their workflows to identify gaps in their needs,
2) Developing and evaluating educational materials and designing learning communities to train the first generation of “quantum native” programmers, as well as ease the learning curve for existing developers,
3) Designing new tools for programming and debugging quantum computers, including creating and evaluating programming languages and SDKs for interacting with quantum computers and simulators,
4) Creating new visualizations of quantum state, including exploring the effectiveness of multiple visual representations on learning, and representing the extraordinarily high dimensionality of multi-qubit states."
