Usually, polymer-silica hybrid support is synthesized by impregnation of silica nanoparticles over polymer support, which turns out to be effective all the time. Other than this method what are the alternatives for hybrd support synthesis????
Dear Vasu Chaudhary, I think the most relevant technique is surface initiation controled/living polymerization such as SI-ATRP and RAFT, where the the surface of Silica is functionalized to promote the polymerization of monomer(s) forming a shell. There are various other techniques. My Regards
ATRP is the most widely used technique for free radical polymerization on silica particles. The literature is full of works describing the polymerization of several monomers from silica particles. Other techniques of controlled radical polymerization like NMP (Nitroxide Mediated Polymerization), or RAFT (Reversible Addition Fragmentation chain Transfer). The main advantage of NMP is its ease of implementation and allows the synthesis of a multitude of complex architectures.
Dear Professors BOUAZIZ and Doufnoune RACHIDA Rachida
Thank you for your answers. They are related and helpful for my research work. Actually I am looking for a technique other than radical polymerization.
Dear Vasu Chaudhary, numeous preparation techniques are followed. I could not find a single review covering all of them. Please take a look at the following documents. My Regards
