There are some forces active in oil and gas reservoirs, including capillary, viscous, gravity, diffusive, and convective forces. The magnitude of each force may be different from one case to other, depending on a number of factors. The rock and fluid properties, size and height of reservoir, temperature and pressure are important factors which dictate the magnitude of each force for a certain reservoir. I am looking for examples of real cases where each force is measured and/or estimated and compared with other forces.

It's a good question. The salinity, the temperature, the velocity have an effect on capillary forces. The temperature and the fluid mixture with different density have an effect on the gravity.

Density has an effect in gravity. Other is surface tension velocity affects capillary lressure.

As you mentioned, gravity and capillary are two forces acting on oil flow through porous media. What I am focusing on is the magnitude of each force in reservoir. For example, what is the approximate value of capillary, viscous, gravity, diffusive, and convective forces in a heavy oil reservoir? What will be the case in a light oil reservoir? What about a volatile oil reservoir?
